Aparthotel Banana Beach Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Aparthotel Banana Beach on Herbert Samuel Promenade, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from the name — but the location immediately won me over. This three-star property sits right where the city meets the Mediterranean, and you know what? Sometimes that’s all you really need. The building itself is pretty straightforward, nothing too fancy, but there’s something refreshing about a place that doesn’t try too hard to impress you before you’ve even checked in.
The Perfect Tel Aviv Spot
Here’s the thing about staying in Tel Aviv — location really is everything, and this place nailed it. You’re literally steps from the beach, which means morning runs along the shore or evening walks become part of your routine without any planning. The promenade buzzes with locals on bikes and families out for strolls, so you get that authentic city vibe rather than feeling stuck in a tourist bubble. I mean, when couples are rating this spot highly for romantic getaways, you know the setting works.
The Room Experience
The room setup here is what makes this place actually practical for longer stays. Each unit comes with a proper kitchenette, which honestly saved me a fortune on dining out every single meal. The space feels more like a temporary apartment than a hotel room — you’ve got enough counter space to prep breakfast and store groceries from the nearby Carmel Market. The furnishings are clean and functional, though don’t expect anything too stylish. What matters is that everything works, the air conditioning keeps up with Tel Aviv’s heat, and the windows let in plenty of natural light.
Getting Around and Dining
One thing I really appreciated was how walkable everything felt from here. The old Jaffa port is an easy stroll south when you want that historic atmosphere, while the trendy Rothschild Boulevard scene is just a short walk inland. There’s a decent restaurant scene right in the neighborhood too — nothing too upscale, but plenty of solid hummus joints and casual spots where locals actually eat. The nearby Namal area has become quite the food destination if you’re willing to venture a bit further north along the coast.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t an upscale resort, but it delivers exactly what most people want from a Tel Aviv stay. You wake up to sea views, you can grab fresh produce from local markets to stock your kitchen, and you’re positioned perfectly to explore both the beachfront culture and the city’s inland neighborhoods. The staff keeps things running smoothly without being overly formal, and there’s decent parking available — which, trust me, is not something to take for granted in this city. For the price point and that prime beachfront location, it’s honestly hard to argue with the value proposition here.

Our family (2+2) took weekend off in this incredible place, just facing Banana Beach, instead of 2 rooms in Royal Beach hotel (and at half price).
The aparthotel apart. is well design renovated, in an old TLV building. An awesome & very comfortable place, fully equiped includes 4×AC.
I took Sap surfing lesson, my husband went to Synagogue and kids to the sea.
Sitting at the terrace afternoon antoured by life music from the beach.
Evening, walking the promenade to dine at Monterey, not moving our car.
Its a most recommend place for family vacation. besides David is a nice welcoming hostHarry from Netherlands (8/10)
An absolute gem in Tel Aviv. I've stayed in many hotels and wanted to try something else. I was tipped to checkout Aparthotel Banana Beach so I did.
As frequent traveler it really surprised me!
Very well equipped, clean, perfect location and very friendly and professional management.
Whenever in Tel Aviv I most certainly will stay here again!Itay from Israel (7/10)
Michel from Israel (7/10)

Adam from Israel (8/10)
