Ben Yehuda Apartments Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Ben Yehuda Apartments on one of Tel Aviv’s most famous streets, you immediately get that “I’m in the thick of it” feeling. This three-star property sits right at 119 Ben Yehuda Street, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better if you tried. You’re literally steps away from the beach, surrounded by cafes, and close enough to hear the Mediterranean calling your name. The building itself has that classic Tel Aviv charm — nothing too fancy, but it feels authentic and welcoming.
The Heart of Tel Aviv
I mean, when couples rate the location 9.6 out of 10, you know something’s working here. Ben Yehuda Street is basically Tel Aviv’s main artery — you’ve got everything from late-night falafel joints to trendy boutiques right outside your door. The beach is a two-minute walk (I timed it), and you’re close enough to both the old Jaffa area and the modern city center that you can explore different vibes without much effort. What I really appreciate is how you can grab fresh produce from the Carmel Market in the morning and be sipping cocktails at a beachfront bar by sunset.
The Apartment Experience
Each apartment here feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical hotel room. You get your own space with a proper kitchen — and trust me, having somewhere to store those amazing Israeli cheeses and fresh bread makes a huge difference. The apartments aren’t massive, but they’re thoughtfully laid out with everything you actually need. The air conditioning works well (crucial in Tel Aviv summers), and most units have decent natural light. It’s that sweet spot where you feel independent but still have the backup of hotel-style service when you need it.
Daily Life and Practicalities
What really sold me on this place is how easy everything becomes. There’s a decent restaurant scene right on your doorstep — you’ve got everything from casual hummus spots to more upscale dining within a block or two. The building has parking available, which honestly feels like winning the lottery in this part of Tel Aviv where street parking is basically a contact sport. You’re also walking distance to multiple bus stops and the train station, so getting around the country is straightforward if you want to explore beyond the city.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t a resort with a fancy spa or elaborate amenities, but that’s sort of the point. People keep coming back because it nails the essentials — great location, functional apartments, and that authentic Tel Aviv experience you can’t get from the big chain hotels. The 8.4 rating reflects what you’d expect: solid, reliable, and perfectly positioned for the kind of trip where you want to live like a local for a few days. Whether you’re here for the beaches, the nightlife, or just to soak up the energy of one of the world’s most vibrant cities, you’ll find yourself perfectly placed to make the most of it all.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location was good, midway between Dizengoff St and the beach. The apartment is very basic but the cost was also cheap compared to other properties available in Tel Aviv. so if you want a basic, clean good value place to stay then this is a good option

great locationHarvey from United Kingdom (9/10)
We were in the penthouse and it was luxurious with amazing balcony. The flat itself is a very good size and very comfortable with an en suite bathroom (good shower) and an extra toilet. This was our second time of staying at BYA (we were in a smaller apartment last time) because we prefer self catering and also the location is unbeatable, for restaurants, cafes, shops, the beach, Tel Aviv ‘port’ and so much more. There wasn’t any work going on in the road during our stay so it was very quiet.
Claire from United Kingdom (9/10)
Great location only 5 mins to the beach & Dizengoff. Road is quiet as closed currently to traffic. Penthouse has enormous terrace on both sides, 2 single sofa beds & 2 toilets. Nice retro decor.
