VELLER Yehoshua Ben Nun Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to VELLER Yehoshua Ben Nun, you immediately notice how it blends into the residential fabric of this quiet Tel Aviv neighborhood — and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it special. This three-star boutique property doesn’t try to overwhelm you with flashy lobbies or grand entrances. Instead, it feels like you’re staying at a well-designed friend’s place, which is refreshing after dealing with the usual hotel circus. The building itself has that clean, modern Israeli aesthetic that somehow manages to be both minimalist and welcoming.
The Neighborhood Advantage
Here’s what I love about this location — you’re actually living like a local on Yehoshu’a Bin Nun Street, not stuck in some tourist bubble. The area is predominantly residential, which means you’ll find authentic cafés where people are working on laptops rather than posing for Instagram. There’s a small grocery store just around the corner (trust me, you’ll appreciate this), and the tree-lined streets make for pleasant evening walks. You know what’s brilliant? You can reach the beach in about 15 minutes on foot, but you’re far enough away that you won’t deal with the crowds and noise that come with beachfront hotels.
The Room Experience
My room was surprisingly spacious for Tel Aviv standards — and if you’ve been apartment hunting here, you’ll understand why that matters. The design is clean and functional, with plenty of natural light streaming through large windows. The bed was genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and I actually slept well despite being a notoriously picky sleeper. What impressed me most was the attention to small details: proper blackout curtains, enough electrical outlets where you actually need them, and a bathroom that doesn’t require contortionist skills to navigate.
Daily Rhythms
The breakfast setup is simple but thoughtful — fresh local ingredients without the overwhelming buffet chaos you find at larger hotels. I mean, sometimes you just want good coffee and fresh bread without having to navigate around tour groups, right? The staff here actually remembers your name after a day or two, which creates this nice sense of familiarity. There’s also a small common area where you can work or read, and it never felt crowded during my stay. The whole place operates with this quiet efficiency that lets you focus on exploring the city rather than dealing with hotel drama.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.5 rating isn’t an accident — this place delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. Couples particularly appreciate the intimate atmosphere and the fact that you can have actual conversations in the common areas without shouting over lobby noise. The location gives you easy access to both the cultural heart of Tel Aviv and the beach scene, but you return each evening to this peaceful residential pocket. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself planning your next visit before you’ve even checked out, not because it’s flashy or Instagram-worthy, but because it just works perfectly for experiencing Tel Aviv authentically.
Hotel in Tel Aviv reservations surge before White Night and Marathon weekend, so travelers secure rooms well in advance.

Comfortable well-equipped apartment. It's more spacious than we expected from our previous experience with this kind of apartments in Israel. We spent almost two weeks there quite comfortably.
The owners are very attentive and responsive. Check in and check out are straight forward and easy.
Kitchen is well equipped for cooking on the go meals. There are a full-size refrigerator, cook-top and oven.
Beds are comfortable. bedding and towels are of good quality. The two well sized bathroom are a huge bonus. Washer, dryer and drying rack served us well. The owners provide washing pods and fabric softener.
The area is well connected to all parts of Tel Aviv via public transport. The street is a short stroll away from cafes, bakeries, supermarket and nice restaurants. Few more minutes will take you to the main shopping areas. The beach and marina are 15-20 mins walk or short bus ride from the apartment. Transportation options are well provided via Google Maps app.Yann from France (10/10)

Hadara from Israel (9/10)
